The Brava Cana: Voices of the Diaspora Podcast and Archive is a new multilingual oral history and podcast initiative led by Dominicans Love Haitians Movement. The project will preserve and amplify the lived experiences of Black, immigrant, and working-class New Yorkers—particularly those from Dominican and Haitian backgrounds—through interviews, conversations, and storytelling. The podcast will serve as an intergenerational bridge, supporting youth with affirming, accessible media around identity, mental health, and belonging, while also uplifting the voices of elders to reduce isolation and ensure their wisdom is passed on to future generations.
