The M2M Project: Nuts and Bolts: Financial Fundamentals for the Skilled Trades

About this Project

Nuts and Bolts gives small skilled-trade contractors the financial fundamentals they need to run stable, competitive businesses. Developed by The M2M Project (M2M), the program pairs six hybrid group sessions with up to three hours of one-on-one coaching, so each contractor leaves with a customized financial framework for their company. The November 2026 cohort builds on a successful April 2026 pilot, expanding from six contractors to up to 20 with a refined curriculum. Participants also gain access to job opportunities through the M2M Marketplace, and graduates can continue into M2M's Break Fix and Scaffold services, where the most lasting gains, including capital accessed, contracts secured, and jobs created, take hold. Grant funds will primarily support the staff time needed to deliver, coordinate, and evaluate the cohort.
